Looking
for professional development that could also earn your classroom a free 'Fired
Up About Oregon's Forests' field trip? Then
mark your calendar for a one-day workshop on The
first half of the day will be spent at The High Desert Museum, learning the
basics' about fire as it relates to forest ecology.
Take a peek at the four new Traveling Discovery Trunks which focus on
fire. Explore the Wind, Earth and
Fire trail, and participate in hands-on activities. The
second half of the day will be spent visiting fire-related sites around
Central Oregon in an effort to help you gain the skills and confidence needed
to lead your class 'into the field' for more advanced study. Cost
