Summer Transportation Institute for High School Girls

May 27, 2017 9:13 PM | Lori Lancaster (Administrator)

The Summer Transportation Institute is a free two-week residential camp for high school girls hosted at Portland State University. This camp is designed to introduce girls to pathways toward careers in transportation, as well as possible routes to higher education in general. They will meet professionals in the field, student researchers, professors from Portland State, and representatives from organizations that serve state and local transportation systems. Girls will come from around the state to participate, and in addition to classroom work and field trips, there will be plenty of scheduled fun as well!

Applications for the 2017 summer program are being accepted now. Any girl who is interested in STEM, entering the 9–12 grade with a minimum GPA of 2.0, and has completed math up to the pre-algebra level is eligible. Contact Lisa Patterson if you have questions.
