A 15 mile float down the Deschutes River .  Enjoy a full day of rapids, scenery, lunch, and transportation.  Cost varies from $45 -$80 per person - the larger the group the better the deal!  A minimum of 6 people are required for a go.

 

Smith Rocks State Park Nature Walk:  Enjoy a stroll through Smith Rocks & learn about the ecology, geology & natural history of the park.  A park ranger will lead your tour.  A $3.00 park fee/per vehicle is required - so carpooling is encouraged!  The hike is easy to moderate in difficulty and will last a few hours.

Come sample some of Bend ’s legendary scenery and bike trails. This moderate trail starts at Benham Falls and follows the Deschutes river downstream for 10 miles through lava flows, meadows, and Ponderosa forests. We will stop along the way to observe geology, wildlife, and point out some interesting local features. Guided by local mountain bikers and science teachers, this ride will be informative, scenic, and will get your endorphins flowing.  Minimum of 5 participants, maximum of 15.

 

Cost: $20 includes lunch, snacks, and a van ride to the top. 

 

Where: Meadow Camp parking lot off of Century  Drive 1.4 miles from the Century Drive/Mt. Washington drive roundabout. If you get to Widgi Creek Golf Course, you went a little too far. 

 

When:  8:30 AM at the Meadow Camp Parking Lot . Finish around lunch time. It just matters what pace you want to go. 

 

What to bring: Helmet! Bike, water for the trail, camera for the memories.

Need a bike? We have several that can be used at no cost. Just tell us your height when you pre-register and we will furnish one for you. If you also tell us your approximate head size (Sm, M, L, XL), we can even let you borrow a helmet.
