Open to all teachers of science - Members and Non-Members- Invite your colleagues.
Join the Oregon Science Teachers Association (OSTA), Vernier Science Education, and leaders from the Portland Metro STEM Partnership (PMSP) for an evening of science fun, food, and fellowship on Thursday, October 17th, 4:30-7:00 pm at the Vernier Science Education Headquarters, Beaverton.
Bring your questions, problems of practice, and/or resources and good ideas to share with your middle and high school science educator colleagues in two 45-min sessions, interspersed with food, beverages, networking, and freebees from Vernier.
Each session will consist of several facilitated discussions that address a key area in secondary science education. Facilitators will introduce a topic, provide some resources and then open the floor to participants to ask questions, and contribute to the discussion by sharing their resources and experiences around this topic. Our goal is for participants to engage in meaningful conversations and take home something they can use in their teaching practice.
This event is free, but please let us know if you plan to attend.
Please register by Monday 10/14* so we can order food and finalize our preparations. If are able to attend but did not register by 10/14, we welcome you to join us and you can register at anytime before the event.
